For more than 25 years, well before Austria joined the European Union, the AK is present in Brussels with its own office. The political work at European level is a necessary and logical extension of our daily commitment to promoting the interests of Austrian workers and consumers.
We successfully represent the interests of workers and consumers in Austria and in Brussels by disseminating the widely recognized professional expertise of the Chambers of Labour across all relevant policy areas. Furthermore, we focus on the professional and effective participation in European decision-making processes and on modern political communication.
By doing so, we are confident to be able to actively support the trade union movement not only in Austria, but also across Europe.
